Meet Sivan Harary

Until 2018, I practiced Immigration Law as an attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area. I managed large caseloads, oversaw legal teams, and built processes for programs within the firms where I worked. Being in a state of constant learning was stimulating and rewarding, but I didn't realize the price I was paying.

About six years into practicing law, it became clear that the stress, long hours, and demands of the profession would only increase over time. My work began to impact my health, and that was a huge wake-up call. I took time away to reconnect with my mind and body, refocus, and draw boundaries. It was time to build a career that provided more balance.

As I reflected on my experience, two things stood out above everything else: improving systems and mentoring people. I loved helping others succeed, investing in becoming a better leader, and finding better ways to manage complex work. Building processes to streamline large caseloads and discovering more effective workflows were the parts of my job that energized me most.

That realization led me into project management.

I spent the next four years leading projects and programs for the world's largest immigration law firm, where I earned my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Supporting Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies taught me to shift from being directive to becoming a facilitator. I learned that the best solutions are rarely created for people. They're created with them.

The more organizations I worked with, the more I noticed the same patterns, regardless of size or industry: high turnover, inconsistent onboarding, unclear processes, overburdened teams, and low morale. Conversations with friends and colleagues confirmed what I was seeing. These weren't legal industry problems. They were organizational problems.

In 2022, I founded Pulse Process Consulting to help organizations solve those problems at their root instead of simply treating the symptoms. Drawing on my experience across law firms, nonprofit organizations, and startup technology companies, I help organizations build practical systems that reflect the needs of the business, the people doing the work, and the resources available.

What I Believe

I believe the people doing the work are the experts. My job is to help them uncover better ways of working together.

The most effective solutions don't come from forcing organizations into a predefined framework or implementing change from the top down. They come from understanding how work actually happens, listening to the people closest to it, and designing practical improvements that support both the organization and the people behind it.

That's why every engagement begins with discovery. I spend time learning how your team works today, what challenges they're experiencing, what's already working well, and where opportunities exist to make work simpler and more effective. Through conversations, observation, and collaboration, we build solutions together rather than imposing them.

When people have a voice in shaping change, they're more invested in the outcome. The result isn't just a better process or a new system. It's a solution that people understand, trust, and are excited to use.

At the end of the day, process improvement isn't just about efficiency. It's about creating clarity, reducing frustration, and giving people the tools they need to do their best work.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, you'll usually find me painting, learning a new industrial art, volunteering, running around Lake Merritt, or spending time with my dog. I'm a creative at heart, and I believe we all need something that nurtures our soul. Some of my artwork has been displayed in Oakland and San Francisco, and creativity continues to shape the way I approach both life and work.
